Metal Punches / cutting
« on: September 21, 2008, 08:49:15 AM »
Hi All

Years ago I bought (for a company not me) a load of sheet cutters, they were a three piece affair, with a male and female cutter and a bolt.  You drilled the centre of the hole and put one part of the punch either side, ran the bolt through (probably a machine screw really) and tightened it all up, cutting a disk from the metal and leaving it nice and flat.

What were they called? Q-somthing I think, and does anyone have access to them or similar, and can I borrow one of 40mm or so? - I have 4 holes to cut.

Thanks

R

Aye Rog,

Bright morning and may the sun shine on you, me old china! This what you are after?

Twisting throttles and swinging on the top of 20' high hedges with a hedge cutter, whilst the 'power rangers' perform stunts passed the house. Just like the IoM! ;D

My regards, Bill.
