« on: January 21, 2008, 02:43:38 PM »

Sigg and MSR are the same, not that that really helps beyond suggesting they are all the same  ???

Take a look at

http://www.needlesports.com/acatalog/Primus.html

They'll sell you the Primus bottle, but they also say the Primus bottle fits "standard thread".. "used on other liquid fuel stoves". More hints that it's all the same?

The manufacturers often say that there is a difference between the fuel bottles that you pressurise to feed the stove and the Sigg style fuel carrying bottles. However the threads do appear to be the same (for MSR at least) and I can't see why they say there's a difference.

I use a Sigg and some other, name escapes me,with my Primus.

Use whatever fits, cant see the problem they are designed to do the same job after all.
And the pressure isnt that great.....!
