Ah, I remember taking this.

Simon and I had just come over the pass before Dolgellau, on snowy roads. His chinpiece was a solid block of ice.

We'd stopped as soon as we could after the pass, at a Little Chef. I shook Simon's hand because he'd done bloody well to ride through the pass, with FA traction on a solo.

And people have to ask why we do the Dragon Rally  ::)

Cheers

Total, total respect!
There's a pic somewhere in the files of my Arai in a similar state and I take my hat(helmet?) off to anyone who can stay upright and endure that.  8)

As for wondering why.... it's simple, you're all... quite... mad!  ;)

I think there is a bit of daftness to my ways. Has anyone else seen that new Carling advert where the intrepid polar explorers are in their tent, frostbitten and shivering, and one says "are we going out?"

I look at that and think it would be an adventure to be stuck on the antarctic ice.

And yes, I did also chcek out what stove was in the background - fixed leg 1 pint paraffin pressure stove.
