be careful out there

It doesn't matter what part of the world you ride in, do it with your mind on riding. We have just lost a member  (Ulysses Club Perth Branch Western Australia)((sorry about the confusion))  to a 17 yo doing a turn in front of him in a car... The last comment he made to me over the net was that "u tube" post further down saying how lucky the guy was hitting the wall and not going over the edge.
"Dice" had only had his licence for a few months, was only 40,and totally absorbed by bikes and full of life.
What can one say other than make it public and hope people will think about the consequences, and hopefully keep alert for the unexpected.

:( same the world over, I had a maximum emergency brake/turn last night because a woman in a hatchback went ripping straight across an empty roundabout I was on, she was doing about 25-30mph, passed in front of me because I was being extra cautious due to the lousy weather (heavy rain/pitch dark). She didn't pause slow or look until she heard my horn and by then she was already about a metre past me  :o
The hi-viz jacket and twin headlamps made no difference because she simply didn't look.

Condolences to all his friends and family, and as Kurt says, be careful out there  :(

Our condolences to all.

It's horrible having that big empty space where a friend used to be.
