Cheap chain oiler and help charity anyone?
« on: July 08, 2007, 08:48:35 AM »
Hello fellow thumper riders.
A few months ago I got fed up with the endless stretching of my CB250rsa chain, so decided to invent my own chin lube system. After a couple of ideas went and returned, I have made one from recycled bits and bobs from my garage, which has covered over 1500 miles without problem.
I then attended Riders For Health day at Donnington and inspired an idea to help by selling the plans for my chain oiler on ebay. 75% goes to the charity on the buy it now listings and 50% on the auction only. I have sold a few but it is slow going.
Can you check out the listing, and you can not only get a really cheap oiler for a few quid, but help a good cause also.

Cheers

Have placed a bid.  If I win out I will write a review for the Club mag and on here, so if it is good I will expect more members to buy one!

Thanks Rog! I'll send you one win or lose!
I have started a list of multi items so people can get them cheaper in any event. The charges by the charity collectors are less for me in that way, so I wont be paying everything myself when they don't reach £2.00 minimum fee.
I am looking to collect a grand if possible, as I am sure there are a thousand of us riding chain munchers out there!
Thanks for your supprt.

Yup, I've stuck a bid on too and I'll stick a link on one of my local bike club forums. A luber for a few quid is bound to raise some interest there.

cheers,

Dear all,
thanks for the support to date.
I have listed five at 99p start, and a couple at buy it now for £3.oo
Please let me have your honest opinions of this, as I would feel bad if any of you thought it a bad idea.
Rog. The only way these can be bought is on ebay via paypal, as the charity donations are taken automatically from my account. Hope this helps.

Cheers

Looks like a good'un and since I'm a bit of an aquarist, I already had the hose and whatnots. I like the pump idea, though I've not actually fitted it to a bike yet, I've got a lubeman on my XBR. I think i'm gonna have to buy another bike to try this thing out on.

Cheers Levers, I hope you're making a few quid there.

I am waiting for you blokes and birds to tell me what a fantastic thing it is so I can flog it to the woman who just won 35 million!
I'm sure she needs a bit of lubing!
