G3's Pembrey Report
« on: June 22, 2007, 10:21:37 AM »
Supermono race report from G3 Racing is now posted.  You can only feel sympathy for Peds when you see whats left of his minimono...

www.g3racing.co.uk

Their photo galleries are comprehensive, and there are some shots of TC members Mike Edwards on Gordon (#66) and me, just a short way behind on #16.  (how does one put irony into a posting?!)

Also, you can see Gordon in the buff, and a little track footage on www.no1bloke.blogspot.com

Cheers all!

Andy, thanks for the site plug!
If you are doing Donington please come along and say hi... I would love to offer you any advice I can from machine set up to riding techniques.

It was a shame for Peds, it is a part of racing that sometimes happens. No one goes out on track with the intention of knocking anyone off, over the years I have come into contact with other riders whether you are passing or being passed.
Mostly you both manage to stay upright but the odd time one of you comes unstuck, I've had both happen to me and at the time you might get a bit agitated but the reality is - accidents happen!
I find that it's essential to with slower riders to 'cut them some slack' when passing; however even with the best laid plans. sometime things go wrong!
The main cause is a speed differential between riders hence the reason why the race organisers in Europe tend to run a qualifying maxima for safety; however saying that - it can happen with riders lapping at the same pace and they just get tangled up together.

Sorry to drone on......

Cheers,  Bloke. (Gordon's Dad!)

Hi Mike

Unfortunately other commitments mean that I'll not be at either donnington OR mallory.  Boooo!  :-(  But I'll be at cadwell, probably on the SRX...  A shame, as if could at least finish the races, (even better if not in last place) the points would look good for my position in the Aircooled championship!  But hey, thats fine...

But I'm really grateful for the offer of advice.  I will definately take you up on that at Cadwell; and may be be in touch before that with regard to advice on building a more competetive bike for next year?

Cheers for now,

andy

If you want a more competitive machine for next year take a look at Gordon's 100 Membership club, for £60 you stand 1 in 100 chance of winning him, must be worth a punt!
