Yes I totally agree with you Steve, certainly not my cuppa tea. Thanks for posting though, always worth a look 👀. Cheers, Michael

What could be a lithe, nimble, bit of kit, will now handle like a water buffalo!  :(  Shame.

I was out on the SRX Mono last night and with a 110/70R17 Avon RoadRider on the front and an Avon RoadRider 140/70R17 on the rear and when compared with the 3.00 x 18 Hiedenau on the front and a 3.50 x18 on the rear of the Duke it is like chalk and cheese. The suspension on the Mono is plush when compared with the Duke; but the Duke just needs thought to go through a corner, whilst the Mono needs body input. But then a 4.10 x 18 was a big rear tyre in the day! ;)

If you wish to purchase those Firestone tyres, here's a link below. The prices are eye watering and the maximum speed rating is 93mph! Note the motorcycles listed as it being suitable fitment for, includes a Z1000 and a Ducati 860GTS.

Road surfaces up here are getting pretty dire and so the Duke front end has been tweaked today, with thinner fork oil and less preload on the emulators and a bit more pre-load on the Hagon rears, as the tyre has been whacking the rear mudguard and I'm only 90Kg fully suited and booted! :o What the results will be I will see tomorrow.

Good health, Bill

Aren't we about ready for the hipster idiots who build this shit to move on to something else as it has now been done to death surely. Why do they insist in putting form over function? I had an SR400 and it was a great bike which would go anywhere, but that thing would get you soaked in a rain shower and handle like a barge. I hate these people almost as much as anyone who starts a sentence with 'I love motorbikes and decided to buy another one after a 35 year absence' and then goes and spends £15 grand on a bike that will be ridden twice a year for 4 miles a time.

Ooops slipped into rant mode there!
