Hi Rufus
I have often discussed with my mate why as motorcyclists we never seem happy to just own the bike we have. No matter how good it (they) are we always seem to be looking for the next one. I suppose it is because of love for bikes or something like that. I have been searching for the 'perfect' bike for 45 years now.
My criteria are, simple, cheap to run, enough power to pull well especially uphill, rugged and reliable and lastly interesting. It's the last one that is the bugger as what is interesting to me this week will have changed next week.
Take the GN250 of yours that I now have, 9 out of 10 for that. I would like a bit more power, say a GN400 oh hang on I had one of those and sold it to buy an SLR 650 as I wanted more power! So why sell the SLR? Well I wanted another BMW so bought an R1100R, plenty of power so why sell that? Too heavy and complicated.....and so it goes.
I've decided to stop playing around and just keep the GN250. Mind you I haven't decided what I'm going to do with the CBF500 yet.
