All dressed up and no place to go
« on: March 25, 2020, 11:37:59 AM »
The bike is finished for this year, I was looking forward to getting out on the road for April but its not looking likely we will be going anywhere for the forseeable future :(

You missed out on a bat out of hell thing there Joolz...... you should have titled your post “all revved up with no place to go” 😉🤘
Ps.... crying shame too as weather looks cracking in your photos... cheers, Michael

Can't keep up with the silencers! What was up with the last one (he said, worriedly, having purchased similar)?

Fingers crossed for a break in the restrictions for a quick tootle for you  ;D

Oh come on how unfair is this? You put up a picture of a gorgeous and fascinating bike when we're being told not to go riding! Well that's like telling me Susie Dent from Countdown is coming to see me just after I've drunk my tea with Bromide in it.

Oooops too much information.

Lovely café racer though mate.

Looks super.

My bikes - I see them standing, straining at the leash.....

Plenty to get busy with so have the "machine shop" almost up and running:

and have just installed my work bench.

There is plenty to get on with in our new abode but I'm already missing what I had previously decided would be a summer where I concentrated on riding rather than spannering.

A big single is difficult to silence effectivly without reducing performance, a supercharger makes things many times worse, Im just trying to find the best flow without deafening everyone around, I would have prefered the style I had, Im not keen on the modern style silencers but I have to compromise

I'm glad the other one hadn't fallen apart or anything, but what a shame you've had to compromise, given the uniqueness of your bike. Would a bespoke one sort it?

A bespoke one would be great, unfortunately the price would also be bespoke :(

Made a new throttle cable used some solid 90 degree bends in a couple of places, feels much smoother now. Gave the bike a start running lovely, other than that I have oiled and cleaned the bicycle, may use it for an evening ride to get a bit of exercise and did the garden
