One for Propellor

Hi Andy

I can't remember if you have removed your electric start yet. If you have what did you do about the wiring from the starter relay?

I have the Mighty Enfield running again (needed a new ECU) but the electric start won't work which I am sure is the relay so this might be a good time to remove it.

Cheers

Ian

Hi ian. First off fantastic news that you got ME running again. Spot on.

I never got around to removing the lectric boot. I never use it so it's defo  coming off at some point. The plug from Hitchfolk looks the way to go. There doesn't seem to be any way of securing it in but I was assuming I'd rig up a bracket off a convenient hole. Once it's gone it should simplify the wiring no end and one would assume allow for a smaller battery. Personally I'll also use that as an excuse to get rid of the stock plastic switchgear and make my own clutch lever assembly much like I did on the kwak. Keep us updated as you go mate. Cheers.

Thanks Andy. I will certainly let you know how things go, ditto with your own alterations which sound fascinating as always.

Thank you gentlemen all. A few niggles to iron out but that doesn't matter at least I have heard it roar for the first time in months.

Definitely up for a ride in lovely Yorkshire Mick I plan to fill in the gaps from this year when I have done very little motorcycling.
