Thank you both for your compliments. It was my pleasure to meet up with you for the day and have a canter through the Scottish Borders and Dumfries & Galloway.
Weather was grand on the way home until I got to Carlops, by which time the cloud had enveloped the Pentland Hills. Coming into Hillend past the ski slope, I was hit by a strong easterly wind and heavy drizzle dropping down through the cloud into Edinburgh. It was dry again by the airport, where I had a wee break, but going out to the Queensferry crossing the wind picked up again as did the heavy drizzle and in spite of the 'wind deflectors' fitted to the new bridge, Sally impersonated a yacht by tacking into the gusting nor'easterly. By the time I got to Kinross it was serious rain that lasted all the way home and I was very dreek on the outside and not seeing much in any oncoming headlights (LED headlights need to be banned and we should revert to carbide!

).
However, after putting Sally away and hanging up all the clobber, a curry, onion bhajis, rice and nan with a 'Genius', followed by a 10 hour sleep, meant that today was a good day too. SRX mono wiring, with the help of Ian 'Raspberry Ripple' after hosing and drying everything down.
Good health and my regards, Bill
