nailed

set off on the Matchless to go to Stanhope for breakfast with derek on his AJS, got about two miles when the handling became rather odd and rubber on metal type noises.. yup a puncture,  pushed it to a safe spot and tried a tin of tyre seal, that just made a mess, went  back on AJS to get car and trailer, got it home and fitted new tube, the old one had a hole about an inch round, no wonder tyre seal didn`t work,  this is the nail !!

That's a nasty looking nail. On the bright side it looks like you found £1.70 next to it.

Tyreseal will not work on tubed tyres, it is only meant for tubeless tyres.
