I never had them, I rely on good gloves with good insulation underneath. My bosses diesel engined superdream 400 has heated grips, his hands get colder than mine even though he doesn't ride when it's really cold. I have been thinking about some protection from the wind chill though, maybe when the winter gets here this year.
