A kindred spirit in Norway [Vintage & Veteran HD's!]
« on: July 22, 2016, 10:28:31 PM »
Good evening All,

Having read the plethora of HD SS350 (Aermacchi 350) and also the HD SS250 (Aermacchi 250) comments in 'Spooky's' post, my understanding is that they were acquired by HD so that they had a bike with a low centre of gravity and good handling in the small capacity TT dirt track events and for the various off-road racing classes in the USofA. I stand to be corrected.  :-\

However, and this is the reason for this post is that I watch a blog, written by a Norwegian oil rig engineer, whom is into veteran and vintage American motorcycles in a BIG way. Lovely bikes, good engineering (long, dark, cold winters), lots of 'runs' (long, light, summer nights), good craic and piccies on the blogs!  ;D  I thought you would enjoy and so here is the link:

My regards, Bill
