landy clutch master cylinder?
« on: July 05, 2013, 10:38:23 AM »
Hello,

I am inviting some abuse from Jethro with this re. "parts bin specials"...

My DeLorean master cylinder has started leaking. The "official" DMC parts are guff. This one has lasted about 3 years (I know having it sit for a year doesn't help, but often "new" parts are supplied with rusty bores...!!  :o

Does anyone recognise what this (car) clutch master cylinder is from??  Landy maybe???

Circa 1980 would be appropriate...There are a few cross references for the DeLorean, but not the clutch master apparently, but if anyone recognises this, it would be very useful!

Cheers!

Yes, thanks andy.

Found it...!  Girling unit, Bore Size (in)--11/16  Part no 74660518882

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CM39516-Clutc ... 51a02970ec

Part number is the same, I just need to change the pushrod. I don't think I can find any in the UK tho...!   That genuine girling one on Ebay is about the right price, but with £20 shipping and TBC customs taxes, it will work out the same.

Even Girling's site cannot supply. I tried a few cross references and numbers from that US Ebay page. So I emailed them...

Thanks for the imput,

a

Dunno ! Never had to look at the master cylinder.

Rebuilt the slave cylinder once....but that was a long time ago.

So therefore fit Series Landy parts and they last  ;) ;D
