Custom bike insurance
« on: March 28, 2013, 01:33:25 PM »
As some of you may know I started off with a Suzuki Van Van, then replaced the lump with a bored out and rebuilt GN250. Some other mods include a small sportster tank, new subframe, handbuilt exhaust, flatside carb etc.. Im trying to get it insured but it is a nightmare.

Ive tried it as a Suzuki Van Van 125 with replaced engine/engine mod - 10%+ increase etc but it just wont let me

Can anyone help?

A lot of the custom guys use to go to Adrian Flux..not sure what the prices are like.  Otherwise I'd go to WH Smiths and have a look at the adverts is BSH, 100% biker, Awol (? still going?) or any of the Hardley Worthitson mags and see who they use.

I use Adrian Flux as my insurer, there is not much left of the original Honda XBR500, as mine has been seriously modified, but I got a very reasonable quote from them.
