Cheap but useful?

Riding gear that is!  I've spended all my spondoolics on acshool bikes and am going to be paying for the next 6 months with bugger all to live on :o.
I went to Preston on the SLR this afternoon and realised that I need to find some warmer gear but, and here's the troubles, It needs to be at least XXXL and cheap! I always had either an old Belstaff or some basic leather stuff in the old days, I could get into relatively normal sizes than, but Now the only budget jackets I see have got this stupid bloody armour plating inside them and it actually makes me feel uncomfortable and LESS protected! 2nd hand would be okay but it's the size problem again there.
Any suggestions.. ( Yeah, Iknow.. DIET!) ???

ebay. spent a fortune on my riding gear (hein gerrick goretek stuff) and realised that bike gear would be amazing in my work. (outside carpentery type stuff) picked up a full set of armoured waterproofs (not hein gerrick) for less than 25 quid delivered.

Go on Ebay and type in Hein Gerrick. As well as the usual stuff from there is often a lot of stuff put on by HG's returns department that has been returned because of faults.  Some of it isn't worth bidding on - waterproofing gone etc, but some of it is just stuff like broken pocket zips, missing pop studs etc.  It often goes very cheap. well worth having a look at.
