Has anyone on the forum ever owned one of the ex army Mt350s or 500s?I like the look of them,especially the 350 with it's electric start,but would like to here from anyone who has actually owned one.

I have ridden both the 500 and 350 with the T.A. and would have another at the drop of a hat.
Prefer the go of the 500 but the chassis of the 350. Apart from the 'panniers' at the front that is. However they are ideal for carrying large amounts of Newcastle Brown ale.

Yeah, great bikes.
Nearly finished putting a chair on one which is on stop until my new hip settles down(another week or so) then I should get it ready in time for Llanthony.
Put a 600 Aprilia Taureg engine in one of the other 350 chassis's and that goes well although that might have to go into the outfit if it struggles with the 350 motor.

I had a late MZ 500R.Same engine with electric start and a DelOrto Carb.
250 chassis modified slightly with Rotax lump.
Very nice bike,did like it a lot.
