Strangly, most of my scars are from accidents racing pushbikes, left leg broken 3 times, now plated...so the scar is from the operation, not any of the accidents.
only serious injury on a bike happened in 1964... going home on leave (was in the raf then) on my mates 'Frantic Bastard'...i'd borrowed it 'cos my gold flash outfit was in dock with a cracked frame.
got knocked off by a pillock in a frogeye sprite, broke lots of things but mainly my left arm in four places....was hauled off to battle hospital in reading where they made a pretty botched job of sticking me back together...so much so that when the raf finally came to get me they promptly put me into the raf hospital at wraughton, and broke my arm again to reset it correctly, more metalwork...and associated scars...funny...as #1 says...now and again they itch like hell and get inflamed...even after all this time.
still, as #1 says....got a nice little payout for that...sufficient for me to buy a lotus super7 (exchanged 3 months later for a cooperS)
course...the exotic cars are long gone.....not the itchy scars though!!

Not bad really.

It aches when the cold starts to set in, was over 3 years ago now.
