ROSSI

What a bloody hero... suffered a compound fracture 6 weeks ago, scrapping for 3rd place this weekend. Surely it has to be conceded by all that he's the best there's ever been?

He did not win, but he sure as hell gave it a good go despite having to ride off of 10/10 to look after the peg.  Nearly stuffed Stoner, was great to see, and Stoner stuffing it back too - next race Laguna - lets hope for a race like the one before Stoner spat the dummy.

Shame Pedrosa just cleared off - but as Lorenzo said - 20 points is better than none and he has a lead to look after - shame Rossi and Stoner were not in contact with Pedrosa, would have seen if he could ride a race or just quickly, and would Lorenzo settled for 4th or would he let it all hang out.

Was a real pity though that Cox etc could only talk about Rossi when others had done well.

So will he win out of the box on the fire engine next year?

Will Stoner stop blody WHINGING and get on with riding like a scalded cat - he is so good at it, but seems to have got stuck in whinge mode

And what a shame about Randy De Puniuet (however you spell his name). He's been a real joy to watch this year, but it's unlikely he'll be back on a bike in 2010... although we all said that about Rossi  ::)

GP can't really cope with all these injuries, grids of 13 riders or less are just bloody mad, especially after you've just watched Moto2 and its 42 headbangers hurtling into the first bend (and in some cases the gravel trap).

Very true #1, moto2 is hugely entertaining.....mainly because of similar machines and LOTS of riders.... MotoGP, WSB and BSB need to look very closely at this, with costs spiralling out of control (not to mention wages) sponsors thin on the ground, there is going to have to be a reckoning...

There are good grids in BSB though and with Chris Walker funding his own race team it seems you can get good results on less money. But yes, you're right, if it's racing action you want then the Moto2 model seems to point the way. We'll always have the 'racing promotes innovation' argument, but frankly I'd rather watch 42 headbangers on equal kit causing mayhem and riding the wheels off their bikes.

I think the NHS would have a thing to say about reinstating the LC pro-am series... it must have knocked their budgets for six. Sheer bloody carnage. Who raced it? Wasn't Niall McKenzie a runner? Kenny Irons? Roger Burnett? all that sort of crowd?

Lots of the racers started in that. it was a good Sat afternoons viewing. Think James Witham was on those as well

I did fear for Rossi when him and Stoner started to mix it. I guesss its one thing to have this special treatment but you cant afford to fall .
So Boyd you should know, whats all this treatment they do to make bones heal quick
