Have a good day all.

Anyone going to watch the parade in Cardiff or any other event?

Won't be long before it'll be a National Bank Holiday. ;D]

Too busy for parades and the like, but have a good day all.

Good prog on Radio4 this afternoon about the patron saints, of course David is the only one of the patron saints who actually lived in the country that they are associated with. St George may not have actually existed  :o

St Guiness Patrick's day coming up next  ;)

Yup - like most of English history we like to make it up.  Or is that others like to make up English history for us?  I can never remember.

St David, only one a Saint in his own land, also I would guess the only one who's Mum is also a Saint (and who's Dad was a King)  Saint because of saintly deeds, or by birthright?

I reckon that at the exact second when the Irish kidnapped St Patrick they were forever stereotyped as being "Irish" ..

But was it the Irish or the Scots, being as the Scots came from Ireland and kicked out the Picts and Hibernian, so who was left in Ireland?  Then any who were left went to the Americas and Australia (some ended up in Austria too I understand).  The Welsh looking to get in on the act went to Argentina, the only other palce on earth that "Pobl Y Cwm" is seen as artistic.

Mind on St Ps day you get to quaffgallons of Guniess, David - well ater the second pint of Cawl...

Cawl or Guinness.  Hmmmm.

Guinness wins every time.
