Bonhams aren't listing a price for the Redman Honda, but one lot made good money:
1958/59 Benelli 248cc Grand Prix Racing Motorcycle
Sold for £64,000 plus Premium and tax

Annoyingly (for me because I always fancied one) Comets are creeping up:
1951 Vincent 499cc Comet
Sold for £6,750 plus Premium and tax

Although this seems reasonable:
1935 Brough Superior 1,096cc 11-50hp
Sold for £18,500 plus Premium and tax
Especially when you see that another Brough made huge money:
1934 Brough Superior 11-50
Sold for £34,000 plus Premium and tax

And look at this price for a replica:
1998 Benelli 350cc Beale Replica Racing Motorcycle
Sold for £49,000 plus Premium and tax

Bargain of the day (imho) must surely be:
The ex-Bill Smith/John Hartle, Thruxton 500-Mile Race class-winning,1961 Honda 250cc CB72 Production Racing Motorcycle
Sold for £2,600 plus Premium and tax
It might seem a lot now for a CB72, but this will be a high-priced classic of the future.

Cheers
GC

p.s. anyone heard the price of the Honda racer yet?

I looked on the Bonhams' website for the Stafford results and the Redmond Honda sale price isn't given. Perhaps it didn't make it's reserve.
