Le CBR est mort, vivre mon SRX!!

Before you say it, it wasn't my fault!

On Thursday last week I was nerfed off the wife's CBR on the way to work. Looks like the bike is a write off and I have now been assigned a solicitor to claim for personal injury.  :'(  Mercifully, nothing too serious or broken.

Urghhhhhhhh. When are these drivers going to learn to open their eyes????

I WAS STATIONARY !!!! He drove into me, knocked me down, and pushed me up the road on my side!!  >:(   I couldn't believe it had happened.

Oh, how I laughed when nobody got out their car to help other than the nice person who blasted the horn to get me out of their way 'cos they were obviously late and I was blocking the road. How inconsiderate of me....

So, now I really really do have to get my SRX working as I cant borrow wifey's bike any more. Then I wont feel guilty about being a member of a singles club and riding a multi   ::)

Ooooh!!

Nasty one bruce, sounds like you were quite lucky.  And at least he was insured.  Its a shame tho, that CBR was pretty good for hacking round town eh?

Good luck with the SRX!  Rest up, then get out to the shed   ;D

i had a bloke in his 80's drive into the side of my van at a cross-roads.

i pulled away when the light went green, he was on my right and pulled away (from a standstill) whilst his lights were on red.

i always check each way at green lights, so i stopped when he started to move. he carried on until the front corner of my van stopped him, at which point he sat there with his foot on the throttle!
(my van was only halfway across the front of his car, so with his tunnel vision the road in front of him was clear).

his wife then tapped on his arm and pointed at my van, he then took his foot off the throttle. Unbelieveable!

I had a whitness say he pulled away through a red light and i took photos before he could move his car.

The police didn't do anything!

When i said he shouldn't have a licence as he had no control of his vehicle and crap eyesight they said it wasn't their job to say who could and couldn't drive!

if i'd been on my bike he would have dragged me up the road until forced to stop by the traffic. the police still weren't willing to do anything, not even a roadside eye test.

So....
when i get tugged for 140mph on my CBR i'll just claim i can't see the speedo as my eyesight is crap, and be sent on my way!

be warned, these people are out there!
