Oh dear, I wondered where the cameras were, but I couldn't see any!
We had a leak bubbling up beside the front path and so we had the water board come out and 'fix' it under the insurance. Hmm. I have to negotiate the neighbours cars when I come home so I can take the bike down the alley to its bed and thus this is a tried and trusted route. Normally.
Its dark, I have a slightly misty visor, and its the front garden I have used for 4 years. Up the path we go, and at the last second noticing the odd looking bit of ground before the front wheel sinks in to the level of the spindle!! OMG!

Rather a sudden stop somewhat.
Then I realise it looks like concrete I have sunk into. Concrete eats aluminium. Panic. So I have to leave the bike balanced on the path by its stuck front wheel while I go for help. Thankfully my neighbour is a strapping chap.
He can also multi-task. Yes, laughing and lifting, he can do both at once!!

Once free, the beast is lavished with a very rapid scrub down with water to remove all the small stones from the discs' holes and all the muck from its crevices.

Today, (the next day), the concrete is still runny. gawd knows what the cowboy has put in the hole, but by golly he is coming back to fix it properly.

Maybe he left it soft so I could put him in it...
