This Weekend

Off out and about on The Norton this weekend firstly to Stourport to a Camper Van Rally all being well I will be meeting up with an old friend Malcom who I havn,t seen for 30 years this is the guy who sold me The Norton in 1972 for
£15-00 (It was taxed and Mot,d) I hope to get a picture of him next to the bike, I have dug an old photo out of him looking like a Wild Man of Borneo I doubt if he will have the same amount of hair today.

Then on Sunday of to a tiny old vehicle show near Ludow, last time I was there 3 years ago a 1904 Lanchester car with tiller steering turned up under its own power.

I'm taking the SZR up to Lancashire, to visit my old stomping ground - Rivington Barn. Haven't been there for years. Means a ride up the motorway for a while - not the SZR's favourite environment but plenty of twisties once I join up with Paul in Chorley.

Hey Bruce....you into camper vans..?
My son is after a Vdub van...good ones seem to cost telephone numbers round here..... any ideas/pointers would be appreciated

I have no knowledge or interest in camper vans Im afraid,I,m going to this event to see my mate from years gone by.

However on 14th July near Ludlow where I live is Dub Stock a VW rally not just vans but cars etc.

Ive got a 77 bay camper, to get a cheap one, you have to buy something that needs LOTS of restoration...
The expensive ones are expensive because its a pain to do it all, apart from the expensive ones that have been bodged with filler to look like the proper ones for the same money...
I paid 300 quid for a runner, the restoration has nearly finished four years later...
