Dragon Rally 2020
« on: February 10, 2020, 03:31:33 PM »
Didn't recognise any Thumper Club stalwarts at the Dragon this year - I think most stayed on at Y Giler for the Bruce Pollard.

Plenty of Thumpers on site though, old and, well older.  Victor, Starfire, Nortons, MZ and MuZ, etc etc.  Watching a Triumph Rocket (new heavyweight stylee) ride through deep mud was entertaining.

New site this year - near Felinheli - which was a good thing as the usual sites became very flooded very quickly.  Lots of very slippy mud, heavy wind and rain overnight meant lots of fun getting in and out of the site itself.  Lots of wrecked tents and a few bent bikes.

Plenty of photographs on Facebook, in particular the group Dragon rally (concentration moto Pays de Galles) if interested.

Also a VERY challenging ride home this year with blocked roads and stupidly high winds on the coast road back for me - Traswfynydd and Cader Idris were frankly a bit scary.

Note to Self: Shiney side goes UP.

Glad I didn't go as they cancelled most of the ferries on Sunday so wouldn't have been able to get home!
