A very sad day indeed. I have a bit of a link in that I spent six years in the Royal Corps of Signals. I hadn't such an interest in bikes then, but I put in an application for the White Helmets. It never even got past my immediate boss Foreman of Signals, who was a bully and a complete ct! He told me we had too much work on and just to get on with it. I also applied to transfer to other trades a couple of times, as I hated my job as a Radio Tech. Always got the same response, so guess what, I left! It cost me £750 to 'buy myself out', which was a lot of money in 1990. Anyway, I'm in my last few days before I leave, and get 'invited' to the OCs office. Its all very geneal and friendly, then I'm offered everything, postings to Hong Kong, the works! Too bloody late! I've already moved on. Any wonder the Army has such a high turnover, and spends a fkn fortune recruiting people who leave after a couple of years! ( This should def be in the rants section, as I'm now very angry. Touched a nerve
