Eh up Steve, you should av poured some fernox central heating leak sealer in the tank, that'd av cured it ;) ;) ;).....£200 would av probably bought you about a two year supply of the stuff :) :)on the up side, Least you know you've got a nice shiny new tap tho mate, one that hopefully won't drip fuel onto the rest of the bike.
Cheers, Michael

;D ;D haha, hi Michael, I never thought of fernox, it fixed the leak on my "buried in wall" pipework to my towel rail !!!!

I wanted to keep the bike as original as possible, I have used "repair kits" on other fuel taps in the past but didn`t have a lot of luck with them? so I thought a new tap would be the way to go ...... wasn`t banking on over 200 quid though, usually I`d expect a bike attached to the bloody tap for that price!!  ;D  ;)

got the dreaded Manx test on Friday which is a lot worse and more strict than a UK mot  :o

What's the story here, Steve? I'd be interested to know the how's and why's if you have the time? Great to hear she passed BTW!

Matt, I can`t really answer this one  ??? But it is not un-common for a vehicle to come to the island with a full MOT and fail our test  ??? ??? Once they`re tested, that`s it though...no more testing, EG. so maybe something that would pass a test in the UK with a worn disc or something, would pass but maybe fail its next test?? don`t know??

They were great with me though  ;D
