I know there's a number of mechanics on here, and probably not just with bikes, so I hope someone can help a mate of mine with an engine problem.

He runs a local cricket club who have a problem with the engine on their pitch roller. It's a Villiers C45 single cylinder four stroke petrol engine dating from 1954. By heck, that's older than me (just). There's a problem with the points, and we have no idea where to find a replacement set or a similar alternative.

If anyone can point us in the direction of someone who can help in any way, we would be very grateful.

Seems that the magneto was a wipac item. Best info I can find is that maybe the points are s2204 as above?
