No change then!!
« on: October 19, 2014, 10:11:07 PM »
I recently "left" the club because of various reasons but generally through the "keyboard bullies" ....I have had experienced  through my work cyber bullying so as soon as it started to emanate on here I went.
Therefore I found it a big leap of faith to spend a fair chunk of my free time this weekend at the Stafford Show. I came on here tonight just to thank the few people from the club who also spent not only their free time but also at considerable expense to themselves to do their bit to keep the Thumperclub light shining.
Well it seems we needn't have bothered eh? It appears we are not very nice people after all......

Pity those who criticize most don't actually try and do a bit as well for the good of the club instead of heaping their moans on those that actually try.

I think this may be in the wrong category!!!!! (ie Rants)

Yes, such is life. Its always been obvious to me that the people who do all the complaining and moaning never actually organise or do anything productive. Nearly twenty years as a trade union rep made this fact abundantly clear to me. In the end I jacked it in, as I realised that most of the people I was representing actually weren't worth representing!

Apologies about the rant above. It must have touched a nerve. I posted it before I was aware of the thread, re the Stafford Show. I am surprised anyone had a bad experience with anyone from the club, as I have only ever found everyone to be extremely friendly and great craic.

Evening timbo,
Yes I think as a rule you,d be correct in thinking that the majority on the site ARE very very nice chaps indeed. I personally have had dealings with a few different members and found them all more than helpfull and accommodating.

Welcome back both of our "lost Souls", shame the topic was somewhat unfortunate,
As a one time stand attender I cannot understand how people have not been made very welcome, I was not there, so have no knowledge, however I can say that "normally" if you can get  away from the "Founder" and pursue your normal exhibition habits then you are very lucky. The Thumper club stand is usually a log jam of well meaning "Chat", hard to escape, but good to remember.
