suzuki savage exhaust

Not been around for a while but am trying to get better organised now I have a garage and shed to work in.
Has anyone got any experience in modifying or fitting different exhausts to a suzuki savage.
Lad in village has bought one but is complaining of the exhaust noise, or lack of noise! He doesn't have loads of money to throw at it any suggestions?

Hi there,
             A friend of mine used to own a savage and he had a similar problem. I believe he used a (genuie) HD exhaust to solve his problem. I will try and get in touch to find out further details
