That sprocket has not had a chain on it - still paint on the teeth

I love it. It's so bad it's good. Not sure I'd have the bollocks to turn up at the local bikers caff on it though. I particularly like the way the paint job on the front mudguard matches the blueing on the pipes. The bloke who did the 'Yellow Peril' lettering needs a serious talking to.

The trailie in the background looks like an early XL125

170415702965      1/4 of a million quid for a bike......!! I've never been a fan of the italian fire engines, even if this one is made by David Kaye.

Steve

This Ferrari bike also goes into the 'Er.............?' category for many of the same reasons.

Hats off to Dave Kay and all that, but does anyone else get the impression that he's a bit of a wide boy?

No I don't think so #1....just a bloody good engineer (though a lot of the work is farmed out) with too much spare time  :)

I only say that because he had a real taste for self-publicity in the late 80s, early 90s. In retrospect I think a bloke who makes MV Agustas in his shed probably rubbed a lot of of the precious classic types up the wrong way and perhaps that's why he seemed to get a sniffy press back then.

I agree, his engineering is just out of this world and that MV sidecar outfit he raced was brilliant, although the constant (unfounded) carping about his box section swing arm not being legal in classic racing was a sure sign that some people are bad losers. As for the swing arm, it didn't seem to make any difference how many pictures were produced showing box section swing arms 'back in the day', he just kept on getting hassle over it.

Unsurprisingly the CB250RS is still listed on ebay with a starting price of £750 this time.

If anyone has got one for sale for about half that price can they please give me a shout ;D
