Not strictly Thumper as it's a twin(!) but a small test for the Thumper crew, this pic is of a bike I used to own, after I'd modified it quite extensively... a free beer* to the first man or woman to spot what it used to be before I started hacking and cutting!

I have to admit, I was quite nostalgic when I rediscovered that pic, a very cheap easy way to make a caff racer which looks quite "real"

It got rebuilt but didn't run and I ran out of time to fault find due to the house move, as soon as the new shed goes up and some garage space is restored....

I've had a few of them myself. Sold one this morning, in fact. I acquired it with the intention of building a little cafe racer but common sense and the need for garage space got the better of me. Yours looks pretty cool! Do you have any more pics?

Don't think I do  but if I find any I'll post them, it used (from fading memory!) unidentified italian clipons, M&P universal headlamp brackets, headlamp and speedo from a cg125 and unidentified small honda respectively, the exhaust was created using the originals, a hacksaw, welder and a universal brit type peashooter. Random chrome front guard and homemade rearsets, no room for the kicker so it was bump only! Seat unit was a tupperware bowl cut in half and nailed to a plank cut to size using my work chainsaw (no kidding) then sprayed up and foam glued on then the original seat vinyl attached. A surprising number of people admired it and wanted to know where I got the cafe racer seat...
I ragged it around in company of Dereks similar one and it was a hoot, slow, but because both had the same performance just as much fun as racing the big bikes we had only a lot closer to legal(!)

I have to confess, I look at cg's sometimes and wonder....

The kickstarts always fell off them anyway. You're hard pushed to find a 2nd hand CD lump that hasn't got the end snapped off the kickstart shaft. You can't get the seat pans anymore either cos they all fell to bits after about 2 years. My second one had a seat pan made out of a shelf out of one of my kitchen units and a bit of old fish box. All good fun, but I'd rather not have another one. Wouldn't mind having a crack at a CG one day though...
