My new sidecar

I finally got my new chair back to the house today:

It's in quite good nick, but I think there are some suspension linkages missing. However, for £20 I'm not too worried.

The plot thickens, the body appears to be a Busmar Astral and the chassis is from a late 50s Watsonian.

My advice is to just keep asking around, it's amazing where sidecars turn up from. Sooner or later a friend will tell you of a friend's dad's uncle who has an old sidecar in his garden.

I was considering the old cards in the newsagents window approach, asking if anyone has a sidecar for sale. I've had some good luck with that method in the past.

Quite a common thing in the '50s and 60's.
Use what was considered a good Chassis and someone elses Body.

I think my wife is having an affair  :o

She finally found the sidecar in the garage. I'd told her I'd bought it and she went loopy so when it got delivered I didn't mention the fact to her. She wandered down to the garage yesterday morning and saw it for the first time. She said "Hey, that looks great, I can see why you're so pleased with it now".

This is so far out of character that I can only conclude that she is trying to mask a bigger issue.
