Weekend debrief
« on: November 30, 2008, 11:05:18 PM »
As usual it wasn't very bikey. Instead I spent some time with the little 'uns, including my not so little 14 year old daughter Honour.

I did manage to alter the subframe on the shortened sidecar chassis I'm building for the rally I'm riding to in January. This entailed cutting and angle-grinding until late on Sunday evening, but none of the neighbours complained so all is well.

I've lowered it by 60mm and cut the struts to fit.

Me and Mr Makita (my angle grinder) had a magic moment when a long-ignored fraying of the power lead culminated in a dramatic explosion of sparks and the loss of power to the garage. That'll teach me  ;)

I also managed to clear some of my junk out of one end of my garden which pleased Mrs Onepot a great deal. I'm in her good books atm.

Cheers

No biking activity atall this weekend (hardly suprising, weather was foul).....SWMBO was on a trip to Bruges....so pizza and beer diet order of the day....
But....hopefully..... I have stored up buckets of brownie points....how? you may ask
Well...SWMBO is really into the TV series presented by Francesco da Mosta (Venice....sailing round Med etc) he's an italian (actually a venician) historian......well, I happened to notice he was doing a book signing in Norwich.....so nipped in and got the old girl a book , signed by the great man, for Christmas.....bluddy funny.....half the husbands in norfolk were in the queue in front of me....queued up for an hour and a quarter! ....thats love for you ;D ::)
