Would be interesting to hear about sidecar setting to bike. I guess when its all correct the bike will go straight as a solo? What happens when the wheel is too far back?

No, with the chair installed correctly the outfit will pull to the right slightly when off the power. However, there's no absolute 'correct' setting, every bike is different.

For example, because I carry heavy loads all the time in my toolbox/chair, I have lots more sidecar lead compared to most rigs. My chair wheel spindle is nearly 13" ahead of the rear wheel spindle. Most guides say start at around 9". My outfit handles fine with teles and clip-on handlebars.

The best fitting guide (imho) can be found HERE

I had a memory that having the sidecar wheel too far back could increase the possibility of the dreaded rollover towards the chair.. but as mentioned before I am no expert!  ;)

Quality german engineering to the fore again!.............not too sure about the 'terry-towelling' fairing on the front of the chair though...?
