Just checking on one I was considering with high miles.  I think on some of the skorpions they just put a sticker over the dial to convert kms to miles, but didn't change the odeometer, so it still read in KMs. Just wondered if it was the same.

As I say I'm 99% sure they're all in miles. Mine is on 35,000ish and the motor seems fine (touches wood, crosses fingers etc). I think the key is good oil changed regularly.
At that sort of mileage the headlamps will be rusty, the forks will have pitted and unless it's been *really* carefully looked after the rear brake is probably ready to start binding. He's probably either got worn rear suspension bushes or has changed them and the front disc may well have a bit too much float in it... or he may have changed it already(!)

What can I say about them, finish is good, seat is uncomfy, they're robust and good fun.
I suspect the rear shock is getting tired on mine which is a bit of a worry as I don't want to know what a white power shock will cost  :o, but then mine has had some pretty harsh use (up to and including a complete diving set and weights strapped to the back  ::)

Overall, I'd have another :)

Good luck!

All my Skorpions are in miles ,one has a sticker to convert KMH /MPH.
None of them have converters fitted ......

I think it's wishful thinking on the sellers part.......

I'm going to look at it today. 49k is the claimed mileage.

As it is a WP shock - I would have thought it could be rebuilt?  I know even cheapo Jap OE can be rebuilt by the right company (Maxton) but I would have thoght that  WP was meant to be so?
