It's the same for tools!
Say hello to my little friend!

OOOOooo, that's a bog off job! ;D
Happy drilling and maybe a little light milling?
Bill

On the money, as usual! ;D Just waiting on my collets cutters and cross slide vice 8) A couple of 8 X 40mm slots in 4mm wall aluminium tubing. Can't wait!

Nice one.... jealous, me? NO
Envious.......definitely. Happy daze Matt. Looking forward to seeing some of the pieces you do with it.
Ps.... any particular reason for the lone star state flag in the background? Colin Edwards fan maybe😉👍

Pieces? Now don't get all designery on me ;D I should be able to drill a straight hole and even straight holes in a straight line :o
As for the slotting, next door has a mini mill and has already cut one for me, so I can relax, see what my cheepo setup (drill is an old Clarke for £40 off fleabay) can do and if it's too sloppy, go back next door 8)
I'm also after a housing for my neutral indicator/kill switch which, since I now have a spare chuck, I might have a go at from round bar aluminium with this neat little hack, of which there are many from clever people on YouTube;
The flag is in honour of my biking Uncle who lives in Austin, where they have, "real big drills, son"!
Here's a video for you to build your own vertical mill, using plumbing parts! Something to keep you busy, once you've finished building your house and the tracker ;D

Heated drill press handle! Eat yer heart out, Joolz!
This has proved such a success and good fun at very low cost, I thought I'd post the link to the gent from America who devised a retrofit drawbar of sorts to make the conversion from drill to light mill safe to use, ie, the Morse taper can't fall out. I've obtained slots as neat as the ones made on my neighbour's cheap mini mill, although it took many lighter passes.

Brilliant... I like it, I like it a lot 😁👍🤘🤘
