ive a pic of my xl in my intro thread on here. im after some info on honda chassis numbers, cos i think that my xl is a really really early one. the engine and chassi numbers dont quite match but are numerically very early i think, though the bikes a 1981, the guy i got it from who had owned it from new, told me he had bought it from a dealer who had had it on the shop floor unregistered for many many months. , any idea where i can find data like this out. im not after finding anything specific, just interested cos from what i see this bikeseems to be one of the first 100 xl's ever built, but i cant figure if im right.
anyone got any ideas?
engine number is 5-000063, and engine, 5-000066.
