Thanks for your replies  I got the info I needed , my German XBR was a 27 bhp detuned model

they fit a 168 main jet and 14 T front sprocket and a restricted rubber inlet tube.

Mine had the full power inlet tube fitted but not the correct main jet and 15 T sprocket

All fixed now hopefully .
13k miles and as new condition for £1500 with wire wheels too ,happy now.

Hi Rommo, as the others say it sounds like you picked up a bit of a bargain, especially with the sought after wire wheels. Glad you got sorted with the info you needed - I was going to suggest you compare some of the part numbers on the CMSNL site to try and establish the differences which would have been a bit laborious. You were lucky that yours has the full power  inlet manifold as I don't think they are available any more. I've posted a link to the CMSNL site for info as its a useful reference guide - I haven't ordered anything from them myself as their p&p to my neck of the woods seemed pretty hefty.

Enjoy your new purchase

Regards

Tony
