This came up as a 'Facebook' feed and whilst I quite like the idea, I prefer to solder and then heat shrink wrap or use 'Japanese' bullet connectors or multi-pin plugs wherever possible. Multiple use of these adjacent to each other, increases the volume of the wiring quite markedly.

Opinions, biased and down right harrumphs, all will be read! ;)
Re-wiring the 450 at present! ???

You're right about adding volume if adjacent and several wires in the run. I've had to stagger them to avoid a bulky final wrap. Good, strong connectors with the heat shrink and glue built in. However, I've gone cheap (yes, really!) and found that the solder didn't have a sufficiently low melting point, the result being that the tubing burnt first!

Well I find that just twisting the wire together and then pop a bit of sticky tape over it does the trick 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think you must have been a previous owner of some of the bikes I've bought!
I'm with Bill, solder and black heatshrink. One thing I hate is the use of those red and blue pre-insulated crimped connectors on old Brit bikes. They look completely out of place.

ive got some of these, theyre in a little tool bag in my top box with a small gas soldering iron that doubles up as a lighter. i figured that whilst i dont want them for permanent fixtures, as a roadside repair and get you home theyre a cut above the usual chocolate block or cheap crimped connector. not had to use one yet, but they were cheap, certainly a lot less than that link, although the box i have is only small with a few of each size in it.
