It quite a while back now, I bumped into a guy in the Peak District on a vintage bike with plenty of polished alloy and brass components gleaming in the sun. There wasn’t a single drop of oil dripping anywhere and you could eat of the ruddy thing it was so clean. I said to him ‘Bet that doesn’t get used much and to my amazement he told me it regularly gets used and peppered in crap. So how’s it so clean I asked? The gent replied ‘I only deep clean it occasionally but usually just rinse it in dishwasher rinse aid and it sparkles like dishes!’
Anyone use this method?

I suppose its easier than trying to get the whole bike inside the dishwasher ;D :D ;D
Seriously though....I would check what chemicals are in the rinse aid to get it that clean!
