Reading your reply about the Katana seat reminded me that I owe you a word of thanks about my own seat. When I first got the XBR which had been modified, you asked what was up with the seat. With the bike being new to me, I was so enthusiastic, I couldn't see what you meant, but you were right and this winter I took the plunge and recut and recovered it. I hope you like the results?

Matt, I'd go steady with actually saying YOU recovered it. The wife will have turning up every pair of trousers and patching up any ripped pairs of jeans within a mile 😁. Excellent job tho defo looks better 🤘
Cheers, Michael

The fact that she hasn't picked up needle and thread since school, didn't stop her from taking the complete urine out of my first 2 attempts to backstitch the piping in. All I can say is, good job the original seat had lots of it and I opted to buy a large bit of vinyl! Looking back, my biggest mistake was at the beginning, when I got fed up trying to even up the curve at the back and naiively went, " Oh, bollocks! That'll never notice when I glue on an extra piece of scrim foam" ::)

Congratulations. A definite improvement, IMHO ;)
