Hello all
I'm afraid I've got some bad news to tell you about.
On Monday 9th April, my wife Sue passed away following a short battle with cervical cancer. I hope some of you will remember Sue from the rally in Llanfairfechan in 2016, where we celebrated our ruby wedding. She also accompanied me to Cwmdu a couple of times.
I know she would have liked to have a bike or two at the funeral, and I would love for some of you to join the cortège if any of you are available. I will post again here when the arrangements have been made.
We are based in NE Derbyshire, near to junction 28 of the M1. I hope to see some of you soon.

Trevor, my deepest sympathy to you and your family.
What can I say? I met Sue on a few occasions...I too am deeply shocked. You have my number if you just need a talk or someone to shout at.
I wil try and get there for the funeral once you know details.
Sincere best regards to you

I never met Sue but cancer is a terrible thing and you have my deepest sympathy Trevor.
I have a friend at my local Bike Club who is suffering from terminal cervical cancer and it's a horrible merciless disease.
-
I can't imagine what you're going through and you have my deepest most heart-felt sympathy. I will get to the funeral and just hope it gives you some small comfort for some bikes to be there.

Sad news Trevor...the first time we met Sue was at Wetton Mill, when we were passing and stopped there for a cuppa and then at various bike meets since.
We'll try and get to the funeral, but next Wednesday we're off to meet Tim in NI and then stopping over there for a week.
Regards.
Dave.

Hello Trevor,
Sad news indeed. Think it was at the Uttoxeter show a few years ago, that I first met you both. One of the good people now gone. Condolences to family and friends. Take care.
Ron.

Trevor
My deepest sympathy on this very sad news. It was obvious at Llanfairfechan how devoted you were to each other.

Aye Trevor,
Please accept my condolences at your loss. Whilst I have never met either you or your wife, I hope the metaphorical 'hug' and blether on here helps you get through the days. If possible, take it step by step, even if they are small steps. I am sorry that I will be unable to attend the funeral, but will pause, once I know the time and date.
My regards, Bill

Thoughts are with you Trevor... I'm sure Sue will look over you from a happy pain free place....
as with Bill, I will stand and think when I know the date of the funeral...
nothing I can say or do to lighten your burden... but you have a bunch of mates in TC who will be here should you need us.

See you soon.

Very sorry, Trevor. Stay here and keep talking, this forum is full of good listeners. Will think of you on Wed.

It looks very likely that I will still be back in NI, but if I can, I will try and come back over earlier to attend Sue's funeral. Please lift the phone anytime or PM me on here Trevor, if you want to talk or, or just offload.

Hi Trev. I will be back from Ireland. I would like to come and pay my respects to Sue. Will get to yours as detailed.
Sue came with you to quite a few bike meets and I know that we all made her welcome....and she seemed to enjoy herself.
Yours SteveD

Right, sorted. I will be at your house for 11.15 next Thursday Trevor.

Thank for all your replies. I hope the rally is going well.
Please raise a glass to Sue tonight.
Cheers!

Hi Trevor
I just thought I'd ask out of respect whether Sue would have minded me turning up on Thursday in camo trousers as I don't have any black ones. I can manage grey overalls if not or I'm sure I could scrounge some black trousers if you'd prefer.

Wear whatever you like Ian. Sue would not mind.

Hello Trevor, so sorry to hear about Sue, only found out this sad news in Ireland as I haven't been on the forum in a while, it was a real shock, I wish you all the strength to get through this difficult time.
-
Aye Trevor,
I trust today's ceremony went without a hitch and that you can now take a deep breath and look forward. All the time acknowledging the quiet word in your ear.
Good health and my regards, Bill

I know that myself, SteveD, and Smithy all feel very humbled and privileged that we were able to attend the funeral of Sue, a wonderful lady, and represent the TC. We all hope that Trevor will be able to feel up to getting out and about on his bike, and meet up with us soon.
-
Thanks for putting it so well Tim I totally agree. I would also commend Trevor for his remarkable dignity on a very sad occasion.

Thanks for all the messages, and huge thanks to Steve, Tim & Ian for attending the funeral. I think we gave Sue a good send off which she would have liked.
Would you believe Steve D came all the way from Huddersfield and bumped into someone he knew outside my house? Small world.
Hope to see some of you in Lincolnshire in a couple of weeks.
Thanks again.
Trevor
