I thought I would try one of these LED's from Hong Kong at £2.36 inc postage -bargain. Well I fitted it today and ventured out this evening. A dusk could not see a footprint on the road but it did illuminate the signs well. Later on when darkness fell time to try out on the dark country lanes. On dipped beam it was noticeably shorter on range than the quartz bulb and switching to high beam all it did was illuminate the trees above, there was NO increase in projected beam at all infact I left it on dipped beam for the ride home. Conclusion- complete waste of time and money- if you were tempted to buy one of these forget it. Reverting back to the quartz bulb.

http://www.norbsa02.freeuk.com/ Have a look at Paul Goffs Classic Bike website, He seems to have tried and tested quite a few LED bulbs,He sells a "daylighter" bulb for £29.95,It should give the correct spread of light and is 25 watts.....Going to put one in my Harris Matchless :)
