I've been meaning to pop down and have a look since I spotted this a couple of weeks ago, but still seem to be tied up with probate/solicitors/house clearing etc. etc.
Lovely looking bike though, and with what I think is a sleeved down LS650 Savage motor should be over engineered and therefore reliable. About the price that the similar grey import Honda CB400SS seem to go for. My only concern would be spares.
-
pretty little bike isn't it, unusual to have a tls front brake on a 1998 machine, yes, spares could be a problem, not sure if, or how Suzuki cater for grey imports.
-
I bought a Suzuki V-Strom 650 from them a few years ago. Nice little shop, although prices for some bikes were on the high side. The Wee was very reasonable though.
-
It`s always nice when you have a reasonable wee..... ;D
-
For some reason it reminds me of a Sanglas 500.
Must be the very vertical single cylinder.
-
Yes it has the same "blocky" look as the Sanglas.
Tidy little bike and I like the double sided TLS front brake!
-
Always liked the Tempter, TLS, stick a nice pipe on it, retro paint job and some clip on`s, I think it would make a lovely café racer 8) 8) 8)

Well, it looks quite nice, and you'd get rarity points, but it's expensive!
THREE AND A HALF GRAND buys you very nice bike (s)

engine does bear more than a passing resemblance to the ls650 savage, which would probably help with spares and service parts, and would follow the japanese trend of sleeved down larger engines to meet thir 400cc licence rules. but that raises the more desirable thought of a full 650 engine in that frame, iirc the savage is belt drive though. nice looking bike, but as has ben said, the price is a bit high for what is a 20 year old 400cc bike.

same dealer, same price, they have a lovely looking xl600 that would probably be a better buy in view of the way prices of big honda singles are heading these days, particularly off roaders. i cant imagine there are many xl600s about in that condition.
