Its sad that we won't have a presence as the Thumper Club this year, but I'm sure a few of you will be going all the same. I can't make it, but keep an eye out for the NI chapter of RonXBR, Rossco500, Chris, and Peter the Violin, who will all be there for the wknd. To everyone going, have a great time ;)

Yes Tim it will feel strange not having the thumper stand. Myself n big bro are riding down and if the forecast is correct it shud be a very pleasant journey. 17 to 18 degrees in mid October...... yes please I'll take some of that. Shame ya can't make it.

A real shame we couldn't get a stand, I will if there are any takers try and organise one for next year.

its a shame, stafford is usually a nice weekend, but i couldnt organize a piss up in a brewery tbh, so thats why i never took it on, but i will help out in any way i can next year if you want to organize it.

Evening Gareth, yes crying shame no stand this year but I totally understand that it must take a lot of your time to sort it all, so I for one tip my hat to you for doing it the years I've been down. Oh and as I've said before those bacon sarni's will defo be missed 👍 I like John struggle just to organise myself and one bike let alone a full stand. Again like John please let me know if there's anything I can do to help next year. I will almost certainly have my xbr tracker done, just taken delivery of some nice front forks for said project.

ok, is a plan forming? i think we should try and get a stand at stafford 2018, and between us divvy up the work to set up and coordinate all the required things for such an event as well as the away from the stand stuff, like a gazeebo and stuff for the evenings, perhaps a barbie and food so we dont all end up fragmenting off to the pub on site or up the road. ive got a couple of small generators and can sort some lights and suchlike if you want. in fact, with a years notice, i can probably sort out some decent silencing so the genny doesnt get on everyone elses tits. otherwise, tables chairs and such i could bring, and if i fetch the camper van down then we also have hot water and a toilet.
what say you guys.?

I went today (on my double thumper)....walked along the balcony where we "usually" are....it felt sort of ghostly.
Anyway I got 90% of what I needed.
Roll on 2018.

Yes Ian... you're right. It was a sad site, the lack of a "thumper" stand.
However like John says I'm sure between us we can get something sorted for next year, just let me know I how I can help.

Hi,
I came along a few years ago with my Moto 6.5 which I am planning to put back on the road this year. If it helps I might well be free to come along this year and put the Starck on the stand again.
