What a lovely looking little thing! Need a MPH speedo though. Thanks for sharing ;)

Didn't someone on this forum have one? Maybe I'm thinking of another forum elsewhere, either way it is a beautiful bike and I wouldn't mind owning one.

I think this is the machine the Mash 400 is cribed from. Lovely looking little bike...

Retro Bikes Dublin are bringing in quite a few lovely Japanese market bikes. The Japanese market had/has some stunning 250 and 400cc models, not exported to other markets. Tony Calleyne from Preston, had a lovely CL400 Honda, which is very similar ;)

Saw one at a recent bike night - nice little bike.

Could always put one of those gearbox converters on, although it can play havoc with mileage recording if you don't keep a note.

Yes gentlemen, I did in fact have a CL400 ... I still have it ... Still winning prizes with it ... I hardly use it nowadays, (now I have another bike that has been "very well sorted") ... As has been said, the CB400SS is basically the same machine as mine ... The differences being, CB400SS has electric start, two into one exhaust exiting on the right, and two clocks in chrome surrounds ... And yes ... the French firm, Mash, did in fact use Honda's design ... You may very well come across my bike .... It should by now be in the pages, ( For Sale section ), of Classic Bike ... PS, the k/m per hour speedo has never been a problem, you soon get used to it ... Regards, Tony
