Title: Permanent sore foot
Post by: JOOLZ on August 16, 2017, 02:07:30 PM
I was wondering if this affects anyone else. For the last 6 months or so I have noticed my right foot aches and is very stiff in the mornings. Its right in the area where my foot would be across the kickstarter lever. Its not a massive problem, but have any of you experianced this ?

No Joolz, but it could be related to your sciatic nerve. All sorts of aches and pains in various parts of the lower anatomy.  :(  I hope that this isn't the case.

My regards, Bill

Do you always wear boots with a steel instep shank? I've noticed if I repeatedly try to start a big single in ordinary shoes (or whisper it slippers) my instep can get quite painful.

I always wear boots when kicking it over, If Im in the shed its my steel toecap work boots. When Im riding I wear my old Alpinestar motocross boots, thick rubber sole but no steel instep.

Unfortunately Joolz it's probably just an age thing.... having been in the plumbing trade for the last 38years I ache just about everywhere.... especially first thing in the morning (worse since my accident) kindda wears off once I get going tho... grin n bear it I'm afraid 😢... I personally find riding seems to ease any pains I have 😉😉
Cheers..Michael

It could be Plantar Faciitis. I had this a couple of years ago, and it was bloomin  painful. Apparently the cause was wearing flip flops too much  :-\
