Title: Bike ergonomics
Post by: CrazyFrog on March 29, 2017, 12:22:24 PM
As you may know, I'm looking for a replacement for my old MZ ETZ301. My biggest problem, what with the arthritis, damaged shoulder and dupreytens syndrome, is getting comfortable.

I've just stumbled across this fantastic site :-

http://cycle-ergo.com/ (http://cycle-ergo.com/)

This allows me to pick a bike I've had before, and know to be comfortable, and compare the riding position with just about any other bike. Fan bloody tastic! I can now buy something fairly safe in the knowledge that it'll be comfortable for the long haul rather than just the normal 5 minutes test ride.  ;D

Yep, been using that for a while. Sadly it doesn't usually have most of the bikes I have or am considering.....

A useful feature is the ability to raise / lower seat, bars etc which was what convinced me I'd be OK on the Super Four with appropriate adjustments. Now if the thing would only go for more than 10 miles at a stretch I'd be able to check it out.....
